Magnetics & Buildplates. Don't Get Ripped Off. Comprehensive Magnet Learning.

Magnetics & Buildplates. Don't Get Ripped Off. Comprehensive Magnet Learning.
Science, yo. Lately I've been asked (and seen some shady marketing shit, who's surprised?) about magnetics by the people wishing to build their own buildplates and include the right magnets for the job. You can get involved in the discussion and design practices by joining in on our forums and if you are already here you're in the right place... Making your own isn't difficult, just like anything else though there are considerations when doing so or buying a system from a 3rd party. Our own plates for the Artillery 3D printers use all of this culminated experience, just to be clear I don't take making something that works well lightly and want to give everyone choices. The ones you make are up to you, just be informed. Learning something is what this is supposed to be about right? Our plates for Artillery and other printers will be available soon. Keep up to date...

3DN Factory GUI Options (Like Our Advanced Firmwares!) And A Lil' Teaser...

3DN_Factory_GUI_Update_1
Great news for those using the factory default firmwares - you can now drop in a spiffy new GUI that matches the style of our released Advanced Marlin Firmwares! It's as easy as dropping the files on a SD card, and booting up your printer. It will update automatically. (Video at bottom) Take a Peek! You can find the files in our Resource Section HERE.  3D Nexus Twitch Channel - Join3D Nexus Worldwide on YouTube - Join  But wait? What's this? Requests on previous shows brought about a few color options - variants to "DiBlue" for those that like to trick their printers out with various color vanity mods. They are all almost finished (300 buttons X 4 firmware flavors y'all, gimme a break, I'm one guy!) I want to point out for my tastes, Im going to pimp out a machine in each color and swag them with accenting LED's. The DiBlue looks sweet in the dark,...

Artillery Advanced Firmwares GUI Enhancement UPDATE!

ADVANCED_GUI_Update
This is just a GUI enhancement I felt I wanted to do to finalize the look of the theme. I originally thought the button lines would be more prominent in the original but the LCD's brightness and saturation felt otherwise. I don't like being told no. Right now there are just enhancements for the Advanced 1.1.9 Versions for the X1 and Genius. The rest will be announced as I roll them out. They can be found HERE Its real simple to update, both archives are updated in the files area and all you need do is copy the TFT Firmware files to a 16GB (or less) Micro SD card, insert it into the printer and turn it on. Wait until it finishes, turn off the printer, remove the SD card, and reboot. You may wish to check the file system after doing so as it sets to "Micro SD" after flashing so you...

Artillery Sidewinder X1: Marlin Advanced 1.1.9 With NEW UI and Mesh Bed Leveling (And More)

postcoverx1UI_119ADV
Yes, you read that right- Mesh Bed Leveling. You can now adjust for uneven beds WITHOUT a probe (like BLTouch, or similar), in addition to using the other advanced settings like PID Autotune (Extruder and Bed), Live Z Babystepping, Save To EEPROM, and Linear Advance with the spiffy new UI I created. All the benefits and none of the hassles. I've spent a great deal of time working with other community firmwares, and appreciate the effort (some features I saved time with and borrowed along the way)  but I felt that Mesh Bed Leveling was the last thing lacking in the tool box. We have it now and it's working. Please read this article in it's entirety. If you don't, you may miss something important. No, really. Disclaimer, use at your own risk! There are inherent dangers of upgrading your firmware and config files. Make sure that you completely understand the potential risks before applying/uploading...
